Q. CAN A PATIENT COME DIRECTLY TO YOUR LABORATORY TO HAVE WORK DONE?
A. The answer is no. Arizona State Law requires all work done by a laboratory, to have a signed prescription from your Dentist. Some labs are allowed to see patients to assist the Dentist in taking custom shades in crown and bridge applications. Those laboratories, whose Dentists send patients with a prescription in hand to do repairs and such are in violation of the law.
Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLEXITE AND OTHER TYPES OF SIMILAR PRODUCTS?
A. There are other products that are similar to Flexite like VALPLAST, TCS, LUCITONE FRS, to name a few. VALPLAST is the only competitor to come close the the family of Flexite products with it's biocompatible nature. However, they have just one type of material as compared to Flexite's many to choose from. None but Flexite have the endorsement of THE CLIFFORD INSTITUTE, and have had the same extensive testing for leaching anything toxic into the body. At Flexite, the saying is, "imitation is the best form of flattery." The Company has been in existence for over 50 years.
Q. HOW DO I KEEP MY APPLIANCE CLEAN?
A. With each case fabricated, a trifold brochure is included that explains how to care for your Flexite appliance. It is suggested to soak it in "Kleenite" (found in all drug stores) is the most effective.
Q. DO I NEED TO GO TO A SPECIAL DENTIST TO HAVE A FLEXITE DONE?
A. Not really, however, there is a growing list of dentists who are on the The Flexite Company's web-site that are familiar with it. You can actually go to your regular Dentist and request a Flexite appliance. They are welcome to call us and we'll take it from there.
Q. AS A DENTIST, WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF FLEXITE BEFORE?
A. In the beginning, over 50 years ago, Flexite put most of it's emphasis on testing and research to be sure it was completely biocompatible, instead of marketing. It has distributors all over the world that serve, quite literally, every country. You will be seeing more regarding Flexite in the near future.
